Autistic people experience sensory processing differences and as such their sensory environment can impact on their ability to interact or study.
Taking a person’s sensory needs into account and adjusting their environment accordingly can make the difference between a student engaging or disengaging with their studies.
It can also (and perhaps more importantly) support the student’s mental wellbeing in general.
